from the Tao Te Ching ….

Fill your bowl to the brim and it will spill.

Keep sharpening your knife and it will blunt.

Chase after money and security and your heart will never unclench.

Care about people‘s approval and you will be there prisoner.

Do your work, then step back. The only path to serenity.

It’s not saying “Don’t fill your bowl”, it’s just saying don’t put too much in, know when to stop before spills over.

It doesn’t say “don’t sharpen your knife.” You should sharpen your knife, just know when to stop.

When you don’t know when to stop you can become exhausted. You have no energy left over for anything else. You were too focused on perfection.

Maybe not perfection, trust me I know I’m not perfect but maybe I just wasn’t content. Just wanted more. Just wanted more things to put in my bowl. Why do we have such a problem with being content
