If there was nothing but silence, you wouldn’t know what silence was. Only once sound appears do you understand silence.
The same is true about space. If there were only space without any objects in space, than space wouldn’t exist. At least two points of reference are needed in space for it to come into being. Space comes in to “be” the moment the one becomes the two and the two become the 10,000 things in the manifested world.
Nothing could be without space yet space is nothing. Before the big bang there was no space, It was only the unmanifested, the one, when the one became 10,000 things, suddenly space was there.
